The ultimate trip into the snow country
Welcome to the greatest snowmobile destinations in the world. Even if you never ridden snowmobile before, don´t worry .The simple operation of a snowmobile makes it easy and fast to learn how to ride them. Crossing many typical villages of Quebec, where snowmobile are on every corner, will make you feel part of the environment. We stop for lunch on top of the “Devil´s mountain”, a magical place with views over the whole region. The luxury of 5*Canadian log hotel is awaiting us after a long day on the trail. For half a day you change the engine for more ecological transport medium and explore the
snowy countryside in silence on your own dogsled. In the afternoon you can give yourself a well deserved spa treatment. We head north into the wilderness and stop for lunch in the natives reservation, where we will discover a different culture. Every day will surprise you with something new like a 5 course gourmet dinner in a real hunters camp in the middle of wolf territory. The week will pass flying and you will love forever the sensation of gliding over the endless snow covered trails.
Day 1. Arrival Day to Mekoos
Pick up at the airport or hotel in montreal and 2h transfer to the Mekoos resort, where our snowmobiles await us. After the typical paperwork, allocation and quick introduction to them we will have our first typical french canadien diner and the briefing in front of the giant fireplace. We will share our own log cabin and for the brave there is an outside SPA!!
Day 2. Mekoos - Lac Nominingue (125 km)
We get up early,distribute the snowsuits and set off to the north on wide snowcovered trails. On this "warm up"day we will cross many typical villages and stop at one of them for our lunch. We will cross few big frozen and snowcovered lakes. It will be a "desert feel" sensation. We will arrive early in a small town in a very nice hotel with exquisite cousine.
Day 3. Lake Nominingue - St Michel des Saints (240 km)
Today is a real test! It will be a long day as we travel north again. We start crossing little villages but later we will enter and traverse a big national park where is nothing except you and your machine! We will arrive in a beautiful 5 star hotel in the middle of the wilderness.
Day 4. Day off - Dogsled trip into the wilderness
Today we have a bit of rest, riding snowmobile is nothing like riding motorbike and you will feel the muscles after couple days, so we will get a bit of rest and have a day off, which you can use to either relax in the hotel and the hot tub, or come with us on a dog sled trip into the wilderness. After the roaring of engines, you will experience a silence that you rarely get .You will also get to see some wild fauna. Another memorable day.
Day 5. St Michel des saints - Club Scott ( 260 km )
Today is a pretty long day! We will ride all north. It will be a whole new scenary. We will stop in a indian reservation where it is a little bit like Africa. Another world within one! After lunch even more North in the wolf country. we will sleep again in small lodge, but those one will be even more typical they are use by hunters in the summer and fall! Lots of stuffed animals on the walls.
Day 6. Club Scott - Mekoos
For our last day we will head south and go along one of the biggest water supply in Quebec. We will have a lunch in a beautiful Hotel in the lake area and we will head for our basecamp. We will arrive early to return our equipement. Each will find their small lodge and tonight will be a goodbye party a la canada!
Day 7. departure day
